FMIPA UI – Hokkaido University Expands Collaboration

Tuesday (12/2) Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris as Dean of FMIPA UI along with his staff welcomed the arrival of the Hokkaido University delegation represented by Prof. Dr. Wataru Horiuchi, and Prof. Dr. rer.nat. Hiroshi Kawamura, in Meeting Room A, FMIPA UI Dean Building, Depok.

The two delegations came to discuss plans to expand cooperation between the two parties. Following the previously established cooperation program double degree between the Doctoral Program in Material Science, Department of Physics, FMIPA UI and the Department of Condensed Matter Physics, Hokkaido University.

Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris warmly welcomed this collaboration and encouraged the program to be implemented from June to October, taking into consideration several factors, including supervisor approval, funding, activity mechanisms, and eligibility. He also assessed this as an effort to further strengthen the collaboration between the two parties.

Some of the plans for expanding cooperation discussed at the meeting included the program double degree for master’s degrees and student exchange for undergraduate programs.

Hokkaido University also offers several areas of expertise in biology, especially undergraduate programs, namely botany, taxonomy, biodiversity and marine (marine biology). Regarding student exchange, Hokkaido University offers a summer school program.(summer school) for two weeks.
