In less than a week, two study programs at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia (UI), namely the undergraduate physics and undergraduate biology programs, will undergo a visitation and assessment phase by the AUN-QA team.
To prepare for this activity and as a follow-up to the outreach activities, the Academic Quality Assurance Unit (UPMA) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (UI) held an interview simulation on Thursday (October 25th) in the meeting room A of the Dean’s Building.
This simulation was intended for educational staff, laboratory assistants, librarians, counseling staff, and clinicians who act as interviewee.
Dr. Denny R. Silaban, M.Kom., as the head of UPMA FMIPA UI emphasized that this activity is important for the students. interviewee, to prepare themselves to answer the AUN-QA team’s questions. He also believes this simulation can provide a sense of the situation, conditions, and atmosphere during a real interview.
He further explained that there are slight technical changes to the 124th AUN-QA visitation and assessment. Unlike the 110th AUN-QA for the undergraduate mathematics study program last April, which took place at the Mathematics Department building at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI), this visitation and assessment will be held at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia (FTUI).
“This change in location was requested by the AUN-QA team, who requested that all study programs assessed at the university be centralized in one building, and it was decided to be held at the FT,” he explained.
Denny hopes that this simulation will ensure that the actual interviews on Tuesday (October 30th) will proceed as planned and result in the best possible scores for both programs.
In addition to the undergraduate and biology programs at FMIPA UI, two other programs at UI will undergo the visitation and assessment by AUN-QA simultaneously: the undergraduate computer engineering program (Faculty of Engineering), the undergraduate program (S1), and the professional dentistry program (Faculty of Dentistry).
