Different from previous years, UI Open Days began with a quiz competition, this time held for the first time and participated by representatives of high school students from several regions in Indonesia. The quiz competition, which tested students’ knowledge about UI, was won by representatives from SMAN 46 Jakarta.
UI Secretary, Dr. Agustin Kusumayati, M.Sc., Ph.D., in her remarks at the UI Open Days Peak Event, stated that UI Open Days aims to provide prospective new students with information about the new student admissions system and the lecture system at UI. “The UI Open Days are motivated by the desire to open communication between those who want to join the UI academic community so they can obtain direct information from their dream faculty,” Agustin said.
