
Achmad Zulvickar, a 2018 student from the Geophysics Study Program, FMIPA UI, who is part of the Ksatria Universitas Indonesia (UI) team, successfully won first place in Online Quiz Competition national level organized by the Republic of Indonesia Audit Board (BPK RI), on May 5, 2021.
In the activity entitled Festival For The Nation (FUN) BPK 2021 In this case, Achmad and his teammates consisting of Saidina Malik Harahap (Social Welfare Science, FISIP UI 2018) and Dzulfikar Al-Anshari (Islamic Economics, FEB UI 2018) had to go through 4 (four) stages of the competition, before finally being declared the first winner.
In the first preliminary round, he and his team had to face 143 teams from other universities to compete for the top 50. Successfully entering the top 50, he and his team advanced to the second preliminary round towards the semifinals with 5 other teams, until they successfully qualified for the final round which left 3 teams including the Ksatria UI team.
Regarding the competition method, Achmad explained that there were differences in the competition method in the final round and the previous rounds.
“In the first preliminary round to the semifinals, the competition is carried out by answering questions quickly and accurately via the application. online quiz, Kahoot. Then, in the final round, the team was given a case study by the jury and the team was asked to answer, as well as provide the right solution based on the case given,” said Achmad to the FMIPA UI Public Relations team.
The assessment of answers in the final round was carried out by three judges who were BPK RI officials, namely Dr. Blucer Wellington Rajagukguk (Head of the Main Directorate of Legal Development and Development of PKN), Bernardus Dwita Pradana (Head of the Main Directorate of Planning, Evaluation, and Development of State Financial Audit), and Dra. Ida Sundari (Acting Head of the State Financial Audit Education and Training Agency).
Achmad, who is currently also serving as Secretary General of BK MWA UI UM 2021, admitted that his motivation for taking part in this competition was to fill his free time with positive things.
“You could say that this is our moment for self-actualization as well as to fill our time with positive things during this pandemic,” said Achmad.
“This PJJ period is so opportunities for us to learn new things, even something as simple as joining an online competition like this will enable us to explore many things,” he added.
For information, the BPK RI has raised the theme “Creating a Spirit of Learning in Distance Education” in the implementation of FUN for the second time since it was first held in 2020. The hope is that this activity can foster the enthusiasm of the young generation of Indonesia to continue to excel amidst the demands of seeking knowledge in a situation of adapting to new habits or new normal.
