FMIPA UI – UTP Malaysia Strengthens Collaboration Through Student Mobility.

In order to strengthen the international network, FMIPA UI in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) Malaysia held the Summer Programme: Student Mobility FMIPA UI 2019 with the theme “Energy Security in the Disruptive Era from Science and Technology Perspective”.

This activity was held on August 12-25, 2019 with a series of activities including sharing lecture materials, campus tours, field trips and community service to Sukarame Village, visiting the Krakatau Observation Tower and the Bahari village, as well as celebrating the anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (UI), Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris officially warmly welcomed the arrival of the UTP Malaysia participants at the Multidisciplinary Research Lab Building of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) – PT Pertamina (Persero), UI Campus, Depok.

In his remarks, Prof. Haris explained that this program aligns with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UI’s vision to become a leading science faculty globally. However, to achieve this vision, FMIPA UI needs to collaborate with other universities abroad, including UTP Malaysia.

This student mobility program, continued Prof. Haris, is part of a collaboration between FMIPA UI and UTP Malaysia which began in 2017.

This activity involved 15 students from the geology study program at UTP Malaysia, accompanied by 1 UTP teaching staff member, Maman Hermana, and 32 students from several departments at FMIPA UI.
