Monday, (14/07/2017) FMIPA UI held the 2017 Faculty Academic System Introduction (PSAF) MIPA UI, in order to welcome new FMIPA UI students in 2017. This year FMIPA UI accepted 872 new undergraduate students. This activity was held until Wednesday, August 16, 2017.
The activity held by FMIPA UI every year was attended by the Director General of Research and Development Strengthening of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of IndonesiaDr. Muhammad Dimyati, Dean of FMIPA UIDr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris, Deputy Dean for Field 1Prof. Ridla Bakri, M.Phil., Deputy Dean for Field 2Dr. Rokhmatulloh, M.Eng, Managers, Academic Quality Assurance Unit Coordinators, Department Heads, and Study Program Heads within the FMIPA UI Environment.
To all his new students, Abdul Haris introduced all his staff, he told all new students to study smartly and seriously because FMIPA UI students have very broad career opportunities both domestically and abroad. Abdul Haris also emphasized to his new students to prioritize academic activities. Abdul Haris emphasized that all faculty leaders have a high level of attention to their students’ studies. He also said that character building in new students is important as the main foundation in pursuing education at FMIPA UI. According to him, FMIPA UI students and graduates must be intelligent scientists, have good character, think logically, and critically, and have aleadershipspirit , considering how important the role of scientists is for the future of the nation.
The 2017 PSAF MIPA UI is part of a series of initial activities for new FMIPA UI students, officially supported by the UI rectorate. The 2017 PSAF MIPA UI provides an introduction to academic and non-academic activities within the FMIPA UI environment, as preparation for new students to participate in lectures at FMIPA UI.
This activity is expected to increase the role and responsibility of students in the learning process that will be followed, foster concern for the environment at FMIPA UI, raise the spirit to advance the world of science in Indonesia, and be ready to become creative and innovative professional scientists.
