Yudisthira Oktaviandie, a student of the Biology Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, was selected as the winner of MAPRES UI 2017. Her victory was announced at the 2017 UI Student Achievement Appreciation Night. On Friday (21/4/2017) at Balirung, UI Depok Campus. Odie excelled with her research entitledOffshorePhotobireactor forBiofuelProduction  Based on Genetically Engineered Microalgae as a Sustainable Energy Solution in Indonesia. Not only that, Odie also received the title of Mapres in the best Curriculum Vitae (CV) and SAINTEK Group categories. With this victory, Odie will represent UI in the National Outstanding Student Selection and compete withOutstanding Studentsfrom Universities throughout Indonesia in July 2017.

The 2017 UI Main Level Student Selection (Mapres Utama UI) grading system is based on CVs, scientific papers and presentations, psychological tests, and English language skills. Students are also required to conduct research in their respective fields on topics relevant to the current needs of Indonesian society.

Carrying the theme “University of Indonesia Students Who Excel for the Progress of the Nation”, the 2017 UI Student Achievement Appreciation Night is expected to appreciate student achievements and can continue to motivate UI students to carry out positive activities in the campus environment and the community, both in academic and non-academic fields, accompanied by positive attitudes and personal characters.
