Maintaining the Quality of Education and Services, CMPB FMIPA UI Undergoes ISO 17025 Accreditation Field Assessment

As an effort to maintain and improve the quality of education and services, the Center for Medical Physics and Biophysics (CMPB), which is part of the Institute of Applied Sciences (LST), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI), underwent a field assessment to obtain an ISO 17025 accreditation certificate from the National Accreditation Committee (KAN).

The field assessment activity was carried out on June 20-21, 2022 as a follow-up to the application submitted by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, in October 2021. In addition to ensuring service quality, ISO 17025 accreditation is also an indicator of recognition and excellence which is a requirement for conducting Conformity Tests for testing institutions appointed by the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) such as CMPB FMIPA UI.

The Center for Medical Physics and Biophysics is a center under the Institute of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, dedicated to providing services and training related to Medical Physics and Biophysics. CMPB UI is historically a transformation of the community services provided by the Medical Physics and Biophysics Laboratory (LFMB) of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, since March 2014.

Following the restructuring of the University of Indonesia’s public service unit, all services provided by the LFMB were transferred under the Special Work Unit of the PPM Institute of Applied Sciences (LST) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia. The services provided by the CMPB FMIPA UI are divided into two divisions: the conformity testing and service division, and the education and training division. The CMPB quality assurance division is also part of the CMPB to ensure the quality assurance of the service and training activities organized by the CMPB is well managed.
