Depok, August 19, 2025 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), is approaching the main stage of the entire ISO 9001:2015 recertification process, namely the external audit by the auditor team from PT DQS Certification Indonesia, scheduled to take place on August 26–27, 2025. As a final step of preparation for the audit, FMIPA UI held a Management Review Meeting (RTM) of the Internal Quality Audit on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Auditorium of the Pertamina Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building, FMIPA UI.
This Management Review Meeting (RTM) served as a strategic forum to present the internal audit report, covering findings, recommendations, and improvement action plans regarding the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) within FMIPA UI. The presence of the entire FMIPA UI ISO 9001:2015 team along with the faculty leadership reflected a shared commitment to ensuring full readiness for the external audit, which marks an important milestone in maintaining the continuity of internationally recognized quality certification.

In his remarks, the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si., M.Si., stated that the internal audit is not merely an administrative obligation, but a key element in maintaining the effectiveness and sustainability of the quality management system.
“Through the audit process, we are not only examining compliance with standards but also assessing the effectiveness of quality system implementation across all aspects of FMIPA UI’s services. The results of this audit reflect our commitment to continuous improvement, strengthening a culture of quality, and ensuring that all services run consistently, transparently, and with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction,” said Prof. Tito.
He also emphasized that the ISO 9001:2015 recertification is a strategic necessity, not merely a formality, in strengthening the competitiveness and credibility of FMIPA UI at both the national and global levels.
“I encourage all unit leaders and the academic community of FMIPA UI to follow up on every audit finding with a spirit of continuous improvement. Findings should not be seen as weaknesses, but rather as opportunities to enhance the quality of services for all stakeholders,” he added.

The head of the internal audit team, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Habiburrahman, M.T., who is also an ISO 9001 and ISO 21001 practitioner in the education sector, stated that the internal audit showed positive results. Operational activities at FMIPA UI have been carried out in accordance with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (POB), applying the principles of the PDCA cycle, and meeting all clauses of ISO 9001:2015.
“In line with FMIPA UI’s commitment to improving service quality and pioneering international programs, ISO 9001 certification serves as a key advantage in building global partnerships, as it is an internationally recognized quality standard,” he said.
The holding of this Management Review Meeting (RTM) marks a concrete step by FMIPA UI in strengthening its sustainable quality assurance system. With a spirit of continuous improvement, FMIPA UI reaffirms its commitment to maintaining excellence in both academic and non-academic services and stands ready to undergo the ISO 9001:2015 external audit as part of its transformation toward becoming a faculty with an international reputation.
