A proud achievement has just been achieved by the 2016 Undergraduate Geophysics Study Program (Prodi) students, namely Nikita Christina, Ratna Pertiwi, and Tri Haryanto S.A.

The three were awarded third place (third place) kategori Oral Presentation Competition dalam ajang Asia Geoscience Student Conference and Exhibition 2019 organized by Universiti Teknologi Petronas in Perak, Malaysia on 24-25 September 2019.

In front of the judges, Nikita and her team presented their presentation entitled Implementation of Multi Scale Second Vertical Derivative and Energy Spectral Analysis Multi Window Test Methods to Estimate the Position and the Depth of Heat Source and Fluid Pathway of Cisolok Geyser, West Java, Indonesia.

According to Nikita and her teammates, the theme is quite relevant to the course they recently took, so she and her team are interested in trying to implement the course in real life.

He and his team expressed their gratitude and pride for this achievement. He was even surprised when it was announced, considering that the competition was attended by 20 other teams that had successfully passed the abstract selection.

“I’m happy, of course. I was also surprised, because quite a lot of UI students participated in this competition. Thank God,” said Nikita.
