A group of students consisting of Bimo Satrio Putra E., Choirul Ikhsan, Qonita Gina F. and Deti Purwanti under the guidance of Dr. Retno Lestari, M.Si succeeded in developing an innovative feed product for silk worm cultivation (Tubifex sp.). Inovasi ini diberi nama tubifeed.

In 2018, tubifeed became one of the products included in the 2019 UI Pre-incubate Business Development Program.

Tubifeed contains highly nutritious ingredients that can increase the growth, development, and endurance of silkworms.

Unlike conventional silkworm feed currently available, tubifeed is very easy to apply, odorless, easily soluble in water, and can function as both feed and supplement.

The presence of this tubifeed product is expected to increase the production of cultivated silkworms so that it can meet the increasing demand for silkworms in the fisheries and livestock sectors.
