Depok, May 17, 2022. As one of the 2022 Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) Centers, the University of Indonesia (UI) provides supporting facilities and supports for the smooth implementation of UTBK. For the Depok Campus, UI provides 1,089 computers that can be used by UTBK participants and 166 backup computers to anticipate network problems. Meanwhile, for the Salemba location, UI provides 229 computers for UTBK participants and 27 backup computers spread across 7 different locations.
One of the locations for the implementation of the 2022 UTBK at the UI Depok Campus is at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA). Precisely in the Multidisciplinary Laboratory Building of FMIPA UI – PT Pertamina, 3rd floor, and the Department of Geography Building. Prof. Dr. rer.nat. Abdul Haris, M. Sc. together with the New Student Admissions (PMB) team accompanied by the head and team of the University of Indonesia Campus Environmental Security Technical Implementation Unit (UPT PLK UI) reviewed the location on Monday, May 16, 2022 or exactly one day before the implementation of the UTBK.
“UI as one of the selected UTBK Centers has made various best efforts for the smoothness and security during the UTBK. We formed a New Student Admissions (PMB) committee to organize and support the implementation of UTBK so that it runs as it should. For that, we thank the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT) who entrusted us as one of the UTBK implementation centers,” said Prof. Haris in a written statement.
The implementation of UTBK is divided into two waves, namely on May 17-23, 2022 for the first wave and May 28-June 3, 2022 for the second wave. To avoid crowds, UI divides UTBK into two sessions, namely the first session at 06.45-12.00 WIB and the second session at 13.00-16.45 WIB.
Location Manager (PJL) UTBK FMIPA UI Ardiansyah, S.T. explained that the UTBK FMIPA UI team consists of 55 people, consisting of 1 Location Manager, 1 Deputy Location Manager, 6 Room Technicians, 13 Supervisors, 9 Electrical Technicians, 3 Faculty Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment (K3L) teams, 14 Security, and 8 other supporting staff.
Together with his team, Ardi has prepared all the main and supporting facilities, including the installation of exam applications on 73 computer units with Core i5 Ram 8Gb Processor specifications consisting of 57 computers in the Multidisciplinary Lab Building and 16 computers in the Geography Department Computer Laboratory, preparing exam rooms, arranging tables and chairs between participants with a distance according to the guidelines for preventing and controlling Covid-19 in the UI environment, electrical installations and internet networks on computers, briefing and providing exam simulations to supervisors and all officers, to creating scenarios for participant entry and exit flows.
“The total preparation time is approximately two months, the first thing to do is to arrange the participants’ tables and chairs with a distance according to the guidelines for preventing and controlling Covid-19 in the UI environment, then the installation of electricity, computers and networks,” said Ardi to the UI FMIPA Public Relations team.
In addition, Ardi said, as an effort to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, FMIPA UI enforces strict health protocols for exam participants. Participants are asked to be present at the UTBK location one hour before the exam. Companions or parents who accompany them are not allowed to enter the building area to avoid crowds.
“So the drop-offs only drop participants off and are not allowed to be in the building area to avoid crowds, because participants will also line up and queue to register in that area,” said the IT Coordinator of FMIPA UI.
Some rules that participants need to pay attention to are that participants must have received at least the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. For participants who have just received the first dose, they must attach an Antigen Swab that is valid for 1×24 hours or a PCR test result that is valid for 3×24 hours. For participants who have not been vaccinated, they must take a PCR test and bring a doctor’s certificate explaining the reasons for not/not being vaccinated. UTBK participants must also have a body temperature of less than 37.3 degrees Celsius and be in good health.
To enter the exam location, participants must scan the barcode with the PeduliLindungi application. Only participants with the green category are allowed to enter the room. Participants are also required to implement health protocols by wearing medical masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance. Before the UTBK begins, the completeness of the exam requirements will be checked, including the exam participant card, identity card (KTP/SIM), and a photocopy of a legalized diploma. Participants are prohibited from bringing food and drinks into the room during the UTBK. For participants who cheat, the committee team will remove participants from the exam room.
