Depok, Monday (18/9) FMIPA UI helda groundbreakingceremony for the construction of a canteen, prayer room, and student center. The groundbreaking ceremony was conducted by Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis, M.Met. as UI Rector and Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris as UI Dean.

This event was attended by the Vice Dean II of FMIPA UI Dr. Rokhmatulloh, M.Eng. Managers, Head of UPMA, Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Programs within FMIPA UI, Head of ALUNI FMIPA UI, President Director of PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri Toni Eko Boy Subari, along with the board of directors of PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri, and Head of PT. BNI 46 Main Branch UI Depok Heri.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia (UI) stated that the groundbreaking ceremony marked the first step in the construction of the canteen, prayer room, and student center for the Faculty. Abdul Haris claimed that the building concept is environmentally friendly and meets UI’s Greenmetric criteria by maintaining a green and beautiful environment. He added that this effort is solely aimed at improving facilities to support student learning.

In line with Abdul Haris, in his remarks, UI Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis, M.Met., said that the construction of the canteen, prayer room, and student center at FMIPA UI is an effort by the University of Indonesia to provide the best facilities for students.

“This is a challenge for students to learn, innovate, and be more creative because the facilities are already in place,” Anis added.
