The 2025 Faculty Academic System Introduction (PSAF) for the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI) was officially concluded on the afternoon of Friday, August 15, 2025. This program, designed for new undergraduate students, had been held since Wednesday, August 13, 2025, and was officially opened by the Dean of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dede Djuhana, Ph.D.
Held at the front courtyard of the Prof. Dr. Ir. Soemantri Brodjonegoro Hall, FMIPA UI Depok Campus, the closing ceremony took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Hundreds of new students appeared enthusiastic, expressing happiness and pride after completing an inspiring and memorable series of introduction activities.

In his closing remarks, the Dean of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., expressed his highest appreciation to all new students for their dedication and enthusiasm throughout the PSAF MIPA UI 2025 activities. He acknowledged that the three-day program was quite intensive and challenging, yet it did not diminish the participants’ enthusiasm.
“We greatly appreciate the spirit and enthusiasm of all new students throughout this series of activities. Although the program was intense and exhausting—some even reached the point of fatigue or collapse—you all remained spirited and united. This is just the first step of your long journey, which will surely be full of challenges but also abundant with opportunities,” said Prof. Dede.
Furthermore, Prof. Dede also delivered a motivational message to the new students as they prepare for the upcoming academic journey. He emphasized the importance of readiness, hard work, and a strong learning spirit throughout their studies.
“Prepare yourselves thoroughly for the start of your academic journey. Study diligently, make the most of every opportunity, and we look forward to witnessing your greatest achievements,” he said.
After participating in PSAF, the new students will proceed to the next stage, the Departmental Academic System Orientation (PSAD) in their respective departments. During PSAD, students will gain a deeper understanding of the curriculum, lecture system, and academic culture within the department, as well as meet directly with lecturers and program administrators who will guide them throughout their studies.

The event was also attended by several leaders from FMIPA UI. Present on the occasion were Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Budiawan, Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si., M.Si., Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration.
Also in attendance were the FMIPA UI management team, including Prof. Dr. Dewi Susiloningtyas, S.Si., M.Si., Student Affairs Manager; Rika Tri Yunarti, S.Si., M.Eng., Ph.D., Education Manager; and Dr. Denny R. Silaban, M.Kom., Head of the Academic Quality Assurance Unit.
Not only attended by the faculty leadership, the event was also attended by departmental leaders, including Prof. Anom Bowolaksono, Ph.D., Department of Biology; and Astari Dwiranti, M.Eng., Ph.D., Head of the Undergraduate Biology Study Program.
The 2025 FMIPA UI PSAF for new undergraduate students concluded with various entertainment performances, including a musical performance by a band led by Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si., M.Si., with band members composed of administrative staff.
Additionally, musical performances and a musical drama were presented by new students from various study programs. These performances symbolized the spirit of collaboration, creativity, and togetherness within FMIPA UI, marking the conclusion of the entire 2025 FMIPA UI PSAF activities.
