Depok, May 21, 2026 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, participated in the 2026 UI Integrity Zone (ZI) Strengthening Socialization activity with the theme “Strengthening the Integrity Zone through Digital Innovation in Supporting Excellent Higher Education Governance” which was held online by the Directorate of Risk Management, Cultural Transformation and Governance, University of Indonesia, on Wednesday (20/5). This activity is the first step of FMIPA UI in strengthening its commitment to building a work culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability within the faculty environment.
The socialization discussed the development of an Integrity Zone within the University of Indonesia as stated in the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 109/M/KEP/2025 concerning the Work Unit for the Development of an Integrity Zone Towards a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Area (WBBM) within the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
The Director of Risk Management, Cultural Transformation, and Governance at the University of Indonesia, Sri Haryanto, stated in his remarks that this socialization activity serves as an important moment to strengthen understanding and synergy among all work units within Universitas Indonesia.
“UI ZI Award 2026 is not merely an evaluation or award event, but part of a collective effort to build a work culture that upholds integrity, accountability, and transparency,” he said.
The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the University of Indonesia (UI) will participate in the 2026 UI ZI Award competition, along with eight other faculties and schools: the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG), the Faculty of Medicine (FIK), the Faculty of Agriculture (FF), the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), the Faculty of Computer Science (FASILKOM), the Faculty of Law (FH), the Faculty of Psychology, and the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies (SPPB). FMIPA UI’s participation in the competition is part of the faculty’s efforts to support bureaucratic reform and strengthen institutional governance within UI.
The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia (UI), Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, M.Sc., emphasized that the faculty’s participation in the development of the Integrity Zone demonstrates the faculty’s commitment to providing increasingly professional, progressive, and service-oriented governance. He believes that fostering a culture of integrity must be part of the work culture of all academics and educational staff within the faculty.
“Developing an Integrity Zone is not only about fulfilling administrative indicators, but also about how we build a work culture that is honest, transparent, and service-oriented,” said Prof. Tito.
He emphasized that FMIPA UI is committed to continuously strengthening superior governance through collaboration, digital innovation, and a shared spirit of integrity.
In his presentation, Zulfahmi, a Junior Expert Human Resources Analyst at the Directorate General of Higher Education at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, explained that the Integrity Zone is a crucial instrument in bureaucratic reform, aiming to create a transparent, accountable, and highly integrit working environment. The implementation of the Integrity Zone is carried out through two main stages: achieving the Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and the Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Zone (WBBM) designation.
He also highlighted the importance of digital innovation in supporting the development of Integrity Zones and realizing “Impact Campuses.” The use of digital technologies, ranging from service applications, big data, and artificial intelligence, is considered capable of improving the quality of organizational governance while providing faster, more transparent, and more accessible public services.
Head of the Sub-Directorate of Cultural Transformation and Governance, Dr. Filia, M.Si., in her presentation explained that the development of the Integrity Zone is measured through six main areas of change, namely change management, governance arrangements, arrangement of the apparatus HR management system, strengthening performance accountability, strengthening supervision, and strengthening the quality of public services.
Dr. Filia also outlined the Integrity Zone development targets for 2026, including the completion of the Integrity Zone Evaluation Worksheet (LKE ZI) form through the Inspirasi Dikti website towards WBK/WBBM. By the second quarter of 2026, the target is for form completion to reach 30 percent, while by the third quarter, all forms and supporting evidence are targeted to be submitted 100 percent on time.
Through participation in the 2026 UI ZI Strengthening Socialization, FMIPA UI affirms its commitment to continue strengthening a professional, adaptive, and integrity-based work culture to support the creation of superior higher education governance and provide a positive impact on society.
