The preparation of the BRP is to complete the results of the revision. BRP is a book containing a learning process plan that is prepared for learning activities for one semester to meet the learning outcomes of graduates assigned to the course.
The preparation of BRP is very important for ensuring the quality of the implementation of courses and compliance with the curriculum. Therefore, each course must be equipped with BRP, following the online/blended BRP format that has been determined by the UI Chancellor and has been adjusted to SN-Dikti.
In total, there are more than 1000 courses in the curriculum of 21 study programs in FMIPA UI. The consignment with the BRP Department team was carried out to meet the availability of BRP of at least 70%. Gradually, before the end of the year, it is expected that BRP FMIPA UI will reach 100%.
By referring to teaching materials that meet the required standards, it is hoped that the implementation of educational programs can run optimally.
Moreover, due to changes in the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic, every lecturer in the FMIPA UI environment is required to adjust their BRP into an online or blended BRP format.

According to him, currently the number of courses that have been produced as distance learning content in MOOCs is still far from the target achievement.
“This year I encourage faculties to develop more learning systems towards MOOCs. It turns out that our MOOcs production is still very low compared to the courses we have,” he said.
Not only that, he also said that to improve campus performance, there needs to be a program to increase the number of foreign students studying in Indonesia. (student inbound). Therefore, he instructed the faculty leaders to improve academic quality, and be active in organizing activity programs that offer or invite foreign students to participate in activities together.
In this foreign student development program, he targeted faculties within UI to recruit at least 15 students with the costs borne by the university and faculty.
“We in the UI academic field also have a program in 2022, I ask the faculty to have a minimum of 15 foreign students with funding from UI for 10 students and funding from the Faculty for 5 students. I direct it for the Master’s study program, now Master’s is enough for 3 years of research path”. The former Dean of FMIPA UI explained.
“So I really hope that this foreign student program can really be implemented because this is also a priority,” he concluded.
At the end of the presentation, he emphasized that the points presented were very important to be understood and implemented together. Therefore, the leadership in the FMIPA UI environment is expected to be able to optimally implement these programs, especially since Prof. Haris said that the University of Indonesia has provided facilities to the faculty, one of which is in the form of funding support.
“We, on behalf of the UI leadership, and I personally as a member of FMIPA UI, strongly encourage and support FMIPA to progress even further,” he said while closing the session.
