FMIPA UI Receives a Visit from Universiti Putra Malaysia

Depok, Wednesday (17/1), the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) received a visit from the University of Putra Malaya (UPM) Malaysia. The arrival of 30 students and 1 companion from UPM was warmly welcomed by the Dean, Dr.rer.nat. Abdul Haris and Dr. Tito Latif Indra, Manager of Venture Partnership and Alumni Relations of FMIPA UI at the Lab. CoE FMIPA UI building.

The cross-country visit took place from January 17-27, 2018. The activity, titledWe Volunteer Mobility Programme Mission UPM-INDONESIA 2017, is a community service program organized by UPM in 2017 and continued this year. The activity was first implemented in 2016.

In addition to improving the academic competency of UPM students, the program aims to exchange information about interfaculty profiles, academic activities, and research. It also aims to introduce the customs and culture of Indonesian society, particularly Jakarta, as one of their activities will involve direct interaction with the Jakarta community.

Dr. Dian Lestari, DEA as the education manager of FMIPA UI gave a presentation on academic and non-academic activities at FMIPA UI, as well as the supporting facilities for both activities.

During their time at FMIPA UI, they were accompanied by BEM FMIPA UI to be introduced to the academic environment and atmosphere at FMIPA UI.
