FMIPA UI Successfully Organized the UTBK-SNBT 2025 Smoothly and Orderly

Depok, May 5, 2025 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) successfully completed the series of Computer-Based Written Examinations – National Selection Based on Test (UTBK-SNBT) 2025 without any significant issues.

The exam, which takes place over 22 sessions from April 23 to May 4, 2025, demonstrates the mature technical and operational readiness of the entire implementation team. All sessions ran on schedule, with a high attendance rate and discipline among participants.

This success is the result of solid cooperation between the Location Responsible Person (PJL) and the Deputy Location Responsible Person (WPJL), the IT team, supervisors, room technicians, the material team, and all other supporting staff. We are grateful that all stages went according to expectations,” said Annisa Nurul Fitri, PJL UTBK at FMIPA UI.

During the implementation, continued PJL, cross-team coordination is carried out regularly to ensure that each session runs smoothly. Any potential technical obstacles can be identified and addressed quickly. Daily internal evaluations are also conducted to maintain the quality of the exam services, including routine briefings to ensure a uniform understanding of the procedures in all sessions.

On the other hand, Awal Setiawan as WPJL explained that although preparations have been made thoroughly, high vigilance is also very important to anticipate fraudulent practices and the implementation of UTBK.

This anticipation is carried out by the security and monitoring team through layered physical inspections. The team conducts inspections using metal detectors as well as direct checks, namely by inspecting shirt pockets, pant pockets, and other areas that may be used to hide cheating devices. This inspection is conducted before participants enter the examination room, while still paying attention to the ethics and comfort of the participants.

“Although the preparations are conducted thoroughly, supervision must remain strict. The security team and supervisors conduct physical checks on the participants before the exam and are ready to take firm action if any violations of the regulations are found,” said Awal.

The UTBK-SNBT at FMIPA UI is conducted in two sessions per day and is spread across two locations, namely the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building and the Geography Department Building. FMIPA UI has prepared 131 main computer units and 14 backup units as a precautionary measure against technical disruptions.

Not only ensuring technical aspects, FMIPA UI also pays attention to the comfort of participants by providing supporting facilities such as air-conditioned waiting rooms and secure luggage storage services. The entire implementation of the UTBK is conducted under strict supervision to maintain the integrity and security of the computer-based test system.
