Depok, September 16, 2025 — The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI), won 3rd Place in the Universitas Indonesia Zone of Integrity (UI ZI) Award 2025. The announcement was made at the UI ZI Award 2025 ceremony themed “Synergy of Digital Innovation and Integrity Culture in Realizing an Excellent and Impactful University”, held today, Tuesday (September 16), at the UI Convention Hall, Depok. This achievement marks a significant improvement from the previous year, when FMIPA UI was ranked Second Runner-Up (Harapan Dua).
Not only that, FMIPA UI was also awarded Best Area in Public Service Quality Improvement, as a recognition of its commitment and innovation in delivering excellent public services.
The award was presented directly by UI’s Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Ir. Mahmud Sudibandriyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., to the representative of the FMIPA UI ZI team, Erning Setiyono, M.Si. He attended on behalf of the Head of the FMIPA UI ZI Team, Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, M.Si., who also serves as Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration.
Commitment to Bureaucratic Reform
The Dean of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for this achievement. He emphasized that the award is the result of collective work and synergy among the units within the faculty.
“This is the result of a shared commitment to building the Integrity Zone through excellent management practices, continuous supervision, and public service innovation,” said Prof. Dede.
Furthermore, Prof. Dede emphasized that this success is a validation of the various bureaucratic transformation efforts undertaken by FMIPA UI in recent years.
“Bureaucratic transformation is not impossible. With commitment, collaboration, and the use of technology, FMIPA UI continues to strive to create a bureaucracy that is not only clean but also truly service-oriented,” he added.
The development of the Integrity Zone at FMIPA UI covers six main areas of bureaucratic reform: change management, governance structuring, human resource management, accountability strengthening, supervision, and improvement of public service quality. This year, FMIPA UI is targeting the achievement of the Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Zone (WBBM).
The Result of a Solid Team Effort
The Head of the FMIPA UI ZI Team, Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, M.Si., described this award as a form of recognition for the dedication of the entire team in strengthening a culture of integrity in the workplace.
“This achievement is proof that the spirit of change has become part of our work culture. Hopefully, this will serve as motivation to keep improving governance toward WBBM,” said Prof. Tito.
Promoting a Transparent Campus Bureaucracy
The UI ZI Award is an annual evaluation of the commitment of work units within UI in implementing bureaucratic reform and improving public services. The assessment refers to regulations from the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB), with indicators covering enabling components and results.
This event is expected to foster a spirit of integrity within the campus environment and create clean, transparent, and accountable governance across all faculties and work units of Universitas Indonesia.
