presenting resource person M. Try Sutrisno Gaus from the Planning Analysis of the Financial Fund Management Institute (LPDP). In his presentation on the Socialization of the LPDP Service Program, he explained about LPDP and matters related to scholarships, especially for the S2 (Master) and S3 (Doctoral) levels.
LPDP is a fund management institution in Indonesia that aims to prepare future leaders of Indonesia. In realizing its goals, LPDP has provided a number of scholarships for Indonesian students since 2012 through the management of educational endowment funds.
LPDP also seeks to encourage strategic research, both commercial and implementative, by providing funding for Indonesian researchers.
The Lunch Talk event was attended by lecturers and students from various study programs in the FMIPA UI environment. In the questions asked, the audience was very enthusiastic about educational scholarships and research funding. At the end of the event, Mr. M. Try Sutrisno Gaus emphasized that, “it is no longer the time for Indonesian sons and daughters to be afraid of going to college because of the high cost of education, LPDP has prepared scholarships for Indonesian students and in the next 15-20 years, LPDP’s target is to produce alumni who become leaders of the Indonesian nation in various sectors”.
