Depok, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the University of Indonesia (UI) once again participated in the UI Open Days, an education exhibition organized by the Public Relations and Public Relations Office of the University of Indonesia (KIP). This UI-wide education exhibition took place from Saturday (February 9th) to Sunday (February 10th) at the UI Hall in Depok
This seventh edition of the event presented information on study programs at UI, ranging from Regular Undergraduate, Parallel Undergraduate, International Special Class Undergraduate, Extension Undergraduate, Vocational (D3), to Postgraduate (Master’s and Doctoral). Information on admission pathways and the study program at UI was also discussed.
More than 30,000 people attended UI Open Days 2019, coming from various regions across Indonesia. Most of them were 12th-grade high school students who will soon be continuing their education at the University of Indonesia. They hoped to pursue their studies at the University of Indonesia.
In addition, several parents of students were also seen visiting UI Open Days 2019, and there were also several prospective postgraduate students (Masters & Doctoral).

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UI booth itself attracted a large crowd. According to the attendance register, more than 500 visitors crowded the Faculty’s booth, which was dominated by a blue-and-black backdrop. Most of them were curious about the newly launched study program at FMIPA UI, the Undergraduate Actuarial Science Study Program.
Although the study program officially opened two years ago, it remains a major draw for visitors to the FMIPA UI booth. This is because the Undergraduate Actuarial Science program is still relatively unknown among high school students.
Para stand guide The FMIPA UI booth guides, consisting of public relations officers and final-year students, provided visitors with information about the new study program, covering the admission pathways for the Undergraduate Actuarial Science program (SBMPTN, SNMPTN, and SIMAK), as well as the opportunities and roles of actuaries in the financial industry.
In addition to looking for information on the Actuarial Science Undergraduate Study Program, many visitors also asked about other undergraduate study programs at FMIPA UI, namely Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Geology and Geophysics.

On the second day, visitors had the opportunity to watch a presentation about FMIPA UI’s courses, including admissions, study programs, and tuition fees, as well as the courses and learning methods they will receive once accepted.
This presentation was delivered by Dr. Ratna Yuniati, FMIPA UI’s Education Manager. It is hoped that this event will provide visitors to UI Open Days 2019 with the information they need.
