On Saturday morning (December 17, 2022), at 7:00 a.m. WIB, a different atmosphere was evident in the parking area of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Administration Center, University of Indonesia (UI). The area, usually filled with the leadership’s private vehicles on weekdays, had transformed into a lively and lively place.
That morning, more than two hundred members of the FMIPA UI academic community and residents consisting of lecturers, students, employees, alumni, and canteen vendors gathered to enliven the fun walk activity in order to welcome the 62nd Anniversary of FMIPA UI which falls on December 21, 2022.

He continued, in addition to strengthening ties, this activity also aims to rebuild unity among the academic community and the FMIPA UI community, considering that after the last two years since the Covid-19 pandemic began, the FMIPA UI extended family was on hiatus from all face-to-face activities including the celebration of a series of dies natalis activities. The unity was also shown by the FMIPA UI extended family through the uniforms worn for the 62nd FMIPA UI dies natalis.
“During the pandemic, we’ve all been working from home, whether for lectures or other activities, so this is a great opportunity to gather together in joy and build camaraderie,” he added.
In his remarks, the Dean of FMIPA UI, Dede Djuhana, Ph.D., invited the leadership, academic community, and FMIPA UI community to share their gratitude, because thanks to the grace of Allah SWT, FMIPA UI can once again hold various face-to-face activities.
The Dean also advised to always maintain integrity and synergy so that they can support each other in providing the best performance and work for the University of Indonesia and FMIPA UI.
“Let’s strengthen our unity together, let’s maintain the integrity of our synergy so that we can provide the best for UI and FMIPA UI,” said the Dean.
The fun walk began with group exercise to prepare for the walk. The exercises were led by instructors in the main stage area. Afterward, the Dean released hundreds of participants at the starting line. start near the security post of the faculty’s central administration building. Participants then walked along a route determined by the committee: the Rotunda, Ukhuwah Islamiyah Mosque, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Library, Rectorate, Water Tower, and back to the starting point.
