Wednesday (24/7). The Master of Marine Science Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (UI), held an open discussion and training on modeling applications. In Building A, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, Dr. Hengki Tasman, a Mathematics lecturer at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, served as the resource person.
In his presentation on modeling applications, Hengki conveyed the benefits of the application, especially for academics in the field of science.
“Data analysis is one of the most crucial parts of scientific research. This process helps answer hypotheses, ensuring reliable and publishable results,” Hengki said.
“Therefore, Hengki continued, it is needed tools untuk memudahkan proses analisa data.
The modelling application is Anylogic software, which is easy to download and up to date“Even several large companies also utilize this application, one of which is to predict market demand and supply conditions.
“Anylogic can assist the data analysis process by providing a variety of features needed to create hypothetical research situations. This eliminates the need for researchers to go directly into the field for testing.
“Through this training involving 10 participants, it is hoped that FMIPA UI academics, both students and lecturers who are currently or will be conducting research, can benefit from modeling so that they can produce reliable research publications.
