FMIPA UI – AWS Indonesia Establish Cooperation to Increase Competitiveness of FMIPA UI Academic Community

Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory Building, FMIPA UI – PT Pertamina, FMIPA UI signed a Cooperation Agreement with Amazon Web Service (AWS) Indonesia regarding the implementation of AWS Technical Essential Training.

The signing was carried out directly by the Acting Dean of FMIPA UI Dr. Rokhmatuloh, M.Eng. with Bimo Y Arie Prabowo, Education and NPO Account Lead, Worldwide Public Sector, and witnessed by Ardi Wedhatama Head of Business Development Capture Indonesia Public Sector AWS Indonesia.

Dr. Rokhmatuloh, M.Eng. appreciated and expressed his pleasure at the collaboration with AWS Indonesia. He said, “This collaboration is an effort to improve the quality of learning at FMIPA UI to make it more modern, increase innovation, and in order to produce more competitive graduates because they have more knowledge in terms of science and technology. That way, they will be better prepared to apply their skills in working in an industry or becoming entrepreneurs.”

Bimo Yuwono Arie Prabowo in his speech said, “This collaboration with FMIPA UI is part of the AWS Indonesia education program to educate the nation’s children not only from a technological perspective through research activities but also from an academic perspective through various kinds of… training and use of the AWS educational platform for use in learning activities.”

The scope of this collaboration includes the implementation of AWS Essential Technical Training and AWS Architecting as a basis for operating cloud-based computers owned by AWS Cloud, exams Certified AWS Essential dan AWS Architecting.

In addition to signing a cooperation agreement with AWS Indonesia, on the same day, FMIPA UI also held a signing of a cooperation agreement with the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency regarding the placement of Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics observation equipment, as well as the use of data in joint research activities.
