On Tuesday (May 15, 2018), PT. Daewoong Pharmaceutical Company Indonesia symbolically awarded scholarships to students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia (UI). The award ceremony took place in Meeting Room A of the UI Depok University Administration Center (PAU) by representatives of Daewoong Indonesia: Yang Woong Yeol, Head of the Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. Representative Office; Lee Jihyun, General Manager; Abraham Simon, S.H., LL.M., Legal Affairs Manager; and Lee Eui Nam, Head of Research at UI-Daewoong.
Daewoong awarded scholarships totaling USD 35,000 to UI. These scholarships cover tuition fees and daily operating expenses for 2018. A total of 35 students from various faculties, including FMIPA UI, received the scholarships.
Eight students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Indonesia (UI) received scholarships from Daewong: Aulia Ratna Endriana (Chemistry), Bimo Satrio Putra (Biology), Detasya Avri M. (Statistics), Intan Claudya A. (Biology), Muhamad Ihsan (Statistics), Muhammad Naufal Fahrisa (Geography), Nesy Fitria (Physics), and Siti Zahrotul Karimah (Biology).
