Coinciding with the celebration of its 63rd Anniversary, on December 21, 2023, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) presented awards to outstanding students and lecturers throughout 2023, as well as lecturers and educational staff (tendik) with 10, 20, and 30 years of service. The award certificates were presented directly by the Dean of FMIPA UI, Prof. Dede Djuhana, Ph.D.

With the theme “FMIPA UI Continues to Work, Serve the Nation,” the Dean of FMIPA UI stated in his remarks that, at its 63rd anniversary, FMIPA UI carries the spirit of “continuing to work.” He believes this spirit aligns with FMIPA UI’s vision to become a leading science faculty both nationally and internationally.

“The tagline for the 63rd Anniversary of FMIPA UI is “Continue to work and serve the nation” as our commitment to continue working in various fields, including education, research, community service, and improving the quality of human resources,” said Prof. Dede.

“Because we already have 21 study programs and 14 of them have been accredited “Excellent”, and 6 study programs are accredited “Internationally” and 4 study programs are ranked 151 – 600 QS WUR by Subject. (#151-200 Geography, #501-530 Mathematics, #501-550 Physics and Astronomy, #551-600 Biological Sciences),” he added.

This activity began with healthy exercise together, and a free health check in the form of blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, and uric acid checks for lecturers and education staff.

In this event, FMIPA UI invited one of its best alumni from the Department of Physics, Dr. Risman Adnan, who currently serves as Corporate Digital Technology at Kalbe Farma, to deliver a scientific oration. Dr. Risman delivered a scientific oration entitled “Golden Time of Math and Science”.

As the highlight of the event, the tumpeng was cut by the Dean of FMIPA UI, accompanied by the staff.
