FMIPA UI through the Research and Community Service Unit held an International Symposium entitled The 4th International Symposium on Current Progress in Mathematics and Sciences (The 4th ISCPMS 2018).
The event, supported by the UI Directorate of Research and Community Service, took place on October 30-31, 2018 at The Margo Hotel, Depok, and was the fourth year since the symposium was first held in 2015.
By carrying the theme Designing Basic Sciences for Implementing Development, This symposium aims to build a network between researchers and collaborators from around the world and also become a forum for the development of research in the fields of Mathematics and Science, by sharing new findings to produce various innovations that will benefit society.
The event began with remarks from the chairman of the ISCPMS 2018 committee. Dr. Ivandini T. Anggraningrum continued by the welcome Dr. techn. Djoko Triyono (Vice Dean I for Education, Research and Student Affairs, FMIPA UI) in this case representing the Dean of FMIPA UI Dr. rer. nat Abdul Haris who are unable to attend.
The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Rosari Saleh (Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, University of Indonesia) by beating the gong.
This symposium presents three main speakers from various disciplines, namely, Prof. Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Raman from the University of Malaya-Malaysia, Michinori Toriyama, Ph.D. dari Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST)-Japan, dan Prof. Trevor Hoey from the University of Glasgow-United Kingdom. In addition, there are also several Invited Speakers who filled the presentation session in the parallel class.
Opening and plenary session 4th ISCPMS 2018 is held in conjunction with a series of events The 2nd Life and Environmental Academics Sciences Forum 2018 (The 2nd LEAF 2018)However, the parallel presentation session was held on November 1, 2018.
