Thursday (4/5/2023), located in the canteen area of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI), UI Campus, Depok, a number of FMIPA UI security personnel participated in training and refresher courses to support quality and performance improvements.
This activity was organized by the Education and Training Team of the University of Indonesia Campus Environmental Security Unit (Diklat UPT PLK UI) in collaboration with the Depok Police.
The material was delivered by IPDA Sudarto to 16 personnel at FMIPA UI, there were 6 (six) important points conveyed regarding the Crime Scene (TKP), namely installing a boundary line or police line, procedures for entering the scene of the crime if material losses occur and there are injured or fatalities, documentation in the scene area, data collection of witnesses in the scene area, things that should not be done in the scene area, to how to make an initial report addressed to the officer on duty at the UPT PLK UI office.
The 3-hour activity was not only filled with material, the training team, namely Syafriwaldi, Asep Iwan, Nawawi and IPDA Sudarto, also directly put the six points into practice.
The Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration of FMIPA UI, Dr. Tito Latif Indra, M.Si., assessed that this kind of training and refresher activities are indeed necessary to improve the competence and capacity of the security team, because according to him, the security team is one of the important resource assets in determining the quality of the institution’s performance in the future.
“We believe that this kind of activity is necessary to increase the competence and capacity of our security team, reflecting a high-quality and professional organizational culture,” said Dr. Tito.
The UPT PLK UI Training Team, Nawawi, said that “Through the refresher program and approach by directly visiting the personnel in these faculties, we hope that a closer relationship will be created between the team at UPT PLK and the security officers in the faculties, and of course there will be benefits such as increasing the insight of security personnel in the UI environment regarding aspects of physical security, personnel, information, and other technical security in their work environment. And we will continue to strive to organize this activity on schedule.”
