Wednesday (30/3/2022) at the Royal Tulip Gunung Geulis Hotel, Bogor, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) held an inauguration and oath-taking ceremony for the Head of the Academic Quality Assurance Unit (UPMA), Managers, Heads of Departments, and Heads of Study Programs (Kaprodi). The ceremony was led directly by Dede Djuhana, Ph.D. as Dean. Acting as witnesses were Prof. Dr. Sumi Hudiyono PWS, Chair of the Council of Professors, and Dr. rer. nat. Eko Kusratmoko, Chair of the Faculty’s Academic Senate.
The inauguration was one of the main agenda items of the working meeting initiated by the Dean as a follow-up to the official appointment of new officials within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia. The event, which ran until April 1, 2022, was attended by academic and non-academic meeting participants, including Unit Coordinators, Departmental Advance Payment Holders (PUM), and the Teaching Plan Book (BRP) development team.
Furthermore, after the inauguration ceremony, on the same day, all newly inaugurated officials along with the working meeting participants joined the consignment according to their respective fields.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia, stated, “Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), today is a moment of appreciation for those inaugurated. May you all remain trustworthy and work together to advance our beloved Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia,” said Dean Dede after inaugurating his new staff.
He also reminded his staff that many indicators in the leadership performance contract must be met. Therefore, he instructed his staff to continue and improve on the achievements of the previous leadership.
“There are many indicators, performance contracts that we need to fulfill together, this is our homework on how to advance FMIPA UI, especially those related to core business we are related to education and students.”
“The achievements of our predecessors are extraordinary, so we must maintain and improve them, especially in this era of the Covid-19 pandemic, full of changes, adjustments, and challenges. The Dean and Vice Deans of FMIPA UI have been in office for almost 100 days since their appointment. We have received much input regarding the Tridharma (three pillars of the university), human resources, and the completion of the UI Strategic Plan. What we also need to work on together is this Strategic Plan. It is almost complete; we need to complete it immediately,” he added.
The new officials at manager level who were appointed were: Dr. Denny R. Silaban, M.Kom. (Head of Academic Quality Assurance Unit), Dr. Denny continues his position from the previous period, Rika Tri Yunarti, S.Si., M.Eng., Ph.D (Education Manager) replaces Dr. Ratna Yuniati, M. Si., Dr. Dipo Aldila, S. Si., M.Si. (Research and Community Service Manager) replacing Prof. Dr. Ivandini Tribidasari Anggraningrum, M. Si., Faris Zulkarnain, S.Si., M.T. (Student Affairs Manager) replacing Dr. Retno Lestari, M.Si., Dr. Lukmanda Evan Lubis, M.Si. (Manager of Partnerships, Ventures, and Alumni Relations) replaces Selo Sukardi, S.Si.
In addition, the new officials at manager level from the educational staff elements who were appointed were: Mohammad Hidayat, S.Sos. (General Manager and Facilities), previously M. Hidayat served as Planning and Budget Coordinator. Then Fakhrur Rizqi, S.Sos.(Human Resources Manager) who previously served as Human Resources Unit Coordinator, and Erning Setiyono, M.Si. (Head of the Leadership Secretariat). Erning continues his position from the previous period.
The presence of administrative staff in the leadership of FMIPA UI is not the first time. Previously, during the leadership of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris as Dean of FMIPA UI for the first period of 2014-2018, and the second period of 2018-2019, he had appointed two administrative staff members into his ranks, namely Erning Setiyono, M.Si. as General Manager in the first period, which was then continued by Oscar Riansyah T. after Erning took on a new role as Head of the Leadership Secretariat in the second period.
On the same occasion, the Dean also inaugurated the heads of departments consisting of Prof. Alhadi Bustamam, S.Si., M.Kom., Ph.D. (Head of the Department of Mathematics) replaces Dr. Dian Lestari, DEA., Djati Handoko, Ph.D. who is still continuing his term as Head of the Physics Department, Asep Saefumillah, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. (Head of the Chemistry Department) replacing Dr. rer. nat. Budiawan, Anom Bowolaksono, Ph.D. (Head of the Department of Biology) replaces Dr. rer. nat. Yasman who was also appointed as Head of the Marine Science Study Program, and Dr. Supriatna, M.T. still continuing his position as Head of the Department of Geography.
Meanwhile, the heads of study programs who were inaugurated were Dr. Eng. Supriyanto (Head of Geology and Geophysics Study Program), Dr. rer. nat. Hendri Murfi, M. Kom. (Head of Mathematics Undergraduate Study Program), Dr. Dra. Titin Siswantining, DEA. (Kaprodi S1 Statistika), Fevi Novkaniza, M. Si. (Kaprodi S1 Aktuaria), Anawati, M. Sc. Ph.D. (Kaprodi S1 Fisika), Muhammad Ridwan, M. Eng. Ph. D. (Kaprodi S1 Kimia), Astari Dwiranti, M. Eng., Ph. D. (Kaprodi S1 Biologi), Iqbal Putut Ash Shidiq, M. Sc. (Kaprodi S1 Geografi), dan Dr. Hengki Tasman, M. Si. (Kaprodi S2 Matematika).
