The subsequent research will be conducted in each respective country on similar topics, with funding covered by each institution. The research outputs are planned to be published in FSSK UKM journals indexed in Web of Science without any article processing charge (APC). This scheme can also be carried out without requiring an MoU or MoA.
Third, for student exchange and mobility programs—both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels—it was agreed that a formal basis of cooperation through an MoU or MoA is required.
This meeting marked an initial step in strengthening regional academic networks and fostering strategic collaboration between Indonesia and Malaysia, particularly in the fields of higher education and sustainable research.
